About Earth Day
Earth Day started in the United States in the year 1970 and has evolved into an international day of taking action for the earth. Every year more than 1 billion people in 192 countries celebrate Earth Day–a day to learn, celebrate, come together and take action for the earth. Earth Day Netherlands
When we discovered that the International Earth Day concept was not well-known in The Netherlands, we decided it was time to do something about it! Thus in 2015, we created an International Earth Day The Netherlands event, held in The Hague. The day brought together environmental non-profits, eco-vendors, musical performers and speakers, to create a dynamic, interactive event for both children and adults. In 2016 and 2018, we continued this annual celebration, creating a forum for people to learn, network, participate and take action for the earth. In 2017 we supported the Climate March for Science held in Amsterdam. In 2020, we have a celebration planned in Schagen, The Netherlands.

Are you planning an Earth Day 2020 event in The Netherlands? Please let us know! We will list it on our website here and on our Facebook page.
